Sharks With Fricking Laser Beams!!!!111!!!1

There’s been lots of talk about the undersea Internet cables being cut, and lots of conspiracy theories - Mark Curphey’s got a cool map up on his page that shows a map of all the undersea cables.

Now, I’m not one to sign up to the conspiracy theories - the area that the cuts are in is a well known geologically active area and a busy shipping lane, but the WSJ (which I found via TechCruch), have another theory - sharks with laser beams on their heads.  Now that’s what I’m talking about!  Forget the CIA, USS Jimmy Carter (read the [as usual excellent] comments on Schneier for some great analysis on tapping undersea cables), or any other possible theories, I place Dr Evil firmly behind this one.
