Blog design

Date March 18, 2008

JD Meier is far too organized for my liking :)   I really enjoy reading his posts, and worked with him in the past on something a while back, but (and I’ve written about it before) he makes me feel inadequate sometimes ;)   I really have a lot to learn from him in how to "do what he does".

Anyway, JD’s just put a superb post up on how to structure/design your blog.  I spend a while working on this blog before it went "live", and had to put it off for a little while because I knew it wasn’t "right" – it still isn’t, but it’s close enough for now for me to live with it until I have time to play with the template(s) again.

For anyone that is just getting started, has a blog and wants to make it better, and even people that have been running them for ages, there’s a lot to learn from this post.  I’m posting it here as a reminder for me (and somewhere I know I can find it again) so I can start making this blog better and implement some of the ideas.

Thanks JD – keep up the excellent work.

Thanks for the heads up on the article. I don’t think a blog design is ever “right” and its just a matter of continually improving it because there is no end to the amount of things you can do to your blog to make it better. I write a lot on the subject of blog designs that I think might interest you and it would be great to hear your feedback as well. Thanks.
